Increased exposure to flavored liquids used in electronic cigarettes, most notably cinnamon, worsens endothelial dysfunction and can be a precursor to CVD. This finding, which Won Hee Lee, PhD, and colleagues published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, was the first proof-of-principle study looking at how induced pluripotent stem cells are affected by flavored e-cigarette liquids.
